Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, Monday, 5 Feb 1945: "Midland--Services for James McGoye, 73, Gilmore, who died Friday at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, were conduced this morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church by the Rev. Lawrence J. Kilkenny, pastor. Interment was in Belevedere Cemetery. Mr. McGoye was a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Farroll) McGoye, Gilmore. He is survived by widow, Mrs Jane (Winters) McGoye, two sons, Michael McGoye, Pittsburgh and Francis McGoye, Gilmore and two daughters, Mrs Paul Cutter, Eckhart and Mrs James Munday, Cumberland. Also surviving are two sisters: Mrs. John Monahan. Midland, and Mrs. Edward Shew, Washington, D.C.: and a brother. John McGoye, Midland."
