WAYNETOWN--Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Beard were called to Homer, Ill., on Friday evening because of the death of his brother, William Raymond Beard, 49, who died at noon that day. Beard was a Chanute Air Force Base machinist and died after an illness of five months. Survivors are his wife Eva, also two daughters, Mrs. John Thompsen, Fithian, Ill., and Mrs. Max Dodd, of Homer; three grandchildren; six stepchildren, David and Rolla of Homer, Virgil Sampson, El Paso, Tex., Lila Finley, Urbana, Ill., Lavina Ramey, Danville, Ill., Norman Sampson, El Paso, Tex.,; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Macy, Homer, Ill., three brothers, Ralph, Russell, of Homer, and Cecil of Ogden, Ill.
