John Witters Bollinger, 75, for many years a resident of Ephrata Township, died late Friday evening at Duke Convalescent Residence after a lengthy illness. In recent years he had resided at the Golden Years Retirement Home, Lititz R2.
Before retirement, he had been a self-employed carter.
Born in Ephrata Township, he was the son of the late Andrew B. and Annie K. Witters Bollinger.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie L. Bollinger, Sebring, Fla.; two sons, David, of Sebring, and John, Lancaster; a daughter, Esther, wife of Marvin Keck of Hutchinson, Kan.; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Elsie W., wife of Paul L. Greenly, and Mabel W., wife of Rufus Gibble, both of Manheim.
