--Nancy married David Clement Bryan (1816-1850) on June 22, 1841 in Monroe County, GA. They resided on their plantation near Cuthbert, Randolph County, GA. They died within 3 wks. of each other, leaving their 3 young children as orphans.
--Nancy died of typhoid fever while on a visit home to her parents. As her husband died later the same month, it is thought that they contracted the same disease.

****Special note:
I received this email from Susan I. Grills:
"David was my 2great grandfather. He is absolutely not buried in the Battle family cemetery. Wish he was so I could see his grave. When his wife Nancy died, he returned to their home in Cuthbert, Randolph County, GA. He got ill too and went to his brother's in Lumpkin, Stewart County, GA. There he signed his will on Sept. 25, 1850. He died 5 days later. My family records say he is buried in Cuthbert. But it could be also in Lumpkin. But he is definitely not in the Battle cemetery. I don't want this memorial to throw off anyone looking to find him there. Please make this memorial a Burial Unknown."
