Helen Grace Farnham, 88, went to meet her Lord and Savior on January 3, 2013. She was born July 25, 1924 in Simpson County. After marrying D.C. Farnham, she moved to Ocean Springs in the mid 50's making 217 Dewey Avenue her residence for the rest of her life. Helen's love for people led her to operate a child care in her home to help support her family. This service has touched the lives of many families. She continued to keep children until turning 85. A lot of the children she kept were from multiple generations from the same families. She left here being one of the oldest members of the church she loved, First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs. She would walk to church every Sunday because she did not drive and did not want to be a burden to anyone but did have the desire to attend. She was a faithful member as well as a faithful servant for the Lord.

She leaves behind one grand-daughter, Sonja (Bubba) Foshee (Lucedale); two grandsons, Randall J Hebert (Ocean Springs), Billy Farnham (Lucedale) and one great grandson Levi Foshee (Lucedale).

She is going to meet her husband, D.C. Farnham; both parents, Ella & Johnny Barnard; one daughter, Jill (James) Hebert; one son, Joe (Betty) Farnham; one grandson, Joey Farnham; three sisters, Vondell Miller, Nan Duff, Betty Sullivan; and one brother, John Barnard.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Funeral services will commence Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
