Funeral services for Guy Hamilton, pioneer resident of Corsicana, who
died early Sunday morning at the Navarro Clinic following an extended illness, were
held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Sutherland-McCammon Chapel with
Rev. E. F. Bohmfalk conducting the rites. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery.

A resident of Corsicana all his life, he was well known here. He took an active part
in business and civic affairs of the city. He was engaged in the mercantile business here
for many years.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mra Rex Bounds, Corsicana; Mrs. J.H. Mabry,
San Antonio; a son, Allen Hamilton, Houston; a brother Lee Hamilton, Oklahoma; five
sisters, Miss Jessie Hamilton, Corsicana; Mrs. Charles B. Megarity, Beaumont; Mrs.
Eva Penny, El Paso; Mrs K.C. Childers, Albuquerque, N.M.; and other relatives.

Pallbearers were John Hughes, Robert Bates, Pid Story, Tom Orr.
Joe Dunton. Sidney Brietz, and N. Suttle Roberts.
