Lura Mae Phelps Rites Saturday

Mrs. Lura Mae Phelps, 81, native of Mississippi and resident of Corsicana 10 years, died Thursday in the Mel-Haven Convalescent Home. She was a Baptist.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p. M. At the Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. Roland Spears, pastor of Memorial Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park with grandsons as pallbearers.
She is survived by one son, James Phelps of Corsicana; six daughters, Mrs. Roy Grimmett, Barry; Mrs. Donald Wommack, Clovis, NM; Mrs. Dave Curry, Mexia; Mrs. Mary Lou York, Corsicana; Mrs. Orvill Shelton, Carrollton, and Mrs. Jim Wyatt, Irving; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; her step-father, J. S. Pittman, Austin; three brothers, Jimmie Brownlee, Richardson; Dillard Pittman, Austin, and Earl Pittman, San Marcos; one sister, Mrs. Madgie Huffman, Dallas and a number of nieces and nephews.
