Margaret B. Parks Reed, 97, of Hagerstown, died Sunday, Oct 5, 2003, at Clearview Nursing Center in Hagerstown.
Born July 25, 1906, in Greensburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late William Brugh Parks and Ida Matilda Osky (should be Mersiowsky) Parks.
She was preceded in death by her busband of 68 years, Luther W. Reed, in 1997.
She formerly was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Greensburg.
She is survived by one daughter, Marjorie B Wentz of Maugansville; three sons, Wayne E. Reed and Marvin P. Reed, both of Hagerstown, and Wallace E. Reed of Knoxville, Tenn.; one sister, Dorothy E. Franklin of Sarasota, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred A. Gunther and Ida M. Brown; and one brother, Charles A. Parks.
An entombment service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown. Seminarian Allen Reed will officiate.
There will be no viewing.
Memorial donations may be made to Clearview Nursing Home, Benevolent Fund, 9946 Downsville Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
