Police said Mr. Adams was driving south on East Parkway at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday when his car ran off the roadway and struck a tree. Investigation as to the cause of the accident continues.
Mr. Adams was the 43rd traffic fatality in Memphis this year (1972)compared to 38 this time last year. His death was also the 20th his year resulting from a single vehicle accident.
He left his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Adams of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Roger Cooper of Memphis and a grandmother, Mrs. Roy Turner of Trenton.
