He was a retired commercial fisherman, a member of the Church of Christ and John Darling Lodge 154, F&AM in Tampa. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Elizabeth; three sons, Fred of St. Petersburg, John S. of Satellite Beach, Jack D. of Clearwater; four daughters, Mrs. Ethel Futch of Englewood, Laura Clements of Harrison, Ohio, Lula Nelson of Midway, Ruth Ellis of Long Island, NY.; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Ruth Jones, Mrs. Helen Roberta Clanton, Mrs. Thelma Martha Lloyd, all of Tampa; and 16 grandchildren. Wilhelm-Thurston Funeral Home is in charge.
