Gloria Pall, aged 85 years, died of heart failure at a Burbank, California, hospital. Pall achieved notoriety for her role as, "Voluptua," the steamy hostess for a romantic movie television series, which debuted in 1954. However, her role was short-lived, as she was considered too risque at that time.
Pall was born Gloria Pallatz, on July 15, 1927, to a poor family, in Brooklyn, New York. In early years, she worked as an airplane mechanic and for the United Service Organization (USO), as a file clerk. Always a "looker," she was crowned, "Miss Flatbush," in her hometown's beauty contest, which led to modeling jobs, showgirl stints, and small movie roles. She appeared in, "Jailhouse Rock," and "Two Thousand Leagues Under the Sea," among others.
As Pall grew older, she realized show business roles would be more scarce, obtained a real estate license, and became a successful businesswoman. She married Allen Kane, owner of a Ford dealership, though they later divorced. She is survived by one son, Jefferson Kane.
