Gilbert Raymond McClure, 86, of Florence, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011.
He was a retired glazier for Binswanger Glass Co., Nashville, Tenn., and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Greenview Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at noon in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Keith Montgomery. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. McClure was preceded in death by his parents, William Andrew and Cordelia McClure; brothers, Earl, William, Troy and Lonnie McClure; sisters, Vera Mitchell, Ethel Young, Evalyn Hargett, Geraldine McClure.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Janie Griffin McClure, and his special nieces, Kathie Harbin and Paula Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Paul Harbin, Clayton Mitchell, David Montgomery, Brandon Taylor, Nolan Mitchell and Wayne Griffin.
The family would like to thank all of the very special staff of Mitchell-Hollingsworth, Station Three, for all your love and care.
