Pilot newspaper 03/01/1894 - family moved to Chadron, Dawes CO, Nebraska, Blair Democrat newspaper 03/20/1918 - a carpenter for Northwestern Railway in the bridge and building department, Pilot newspaper 03/20/1918 - Has been sick for the past six months, having been in the Nicholas Senn hospital in Omaha two different times. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife (Stella Christensen) and two daughters, Mrs. Robert Graham (Grace May Allbery), of Prescott, Oregon, and Carrie (Beatrice Allbery) who is a teacher in Wyoming (actually, high school at Whitewood, South Dakota). His father, Richard Allbery, also two brothers, Frank, of this city and Denny (Denna), of Denver, Mrs. Charles Rodman (Minnie Mae Allbery), of Omaha, is his sister. She left Monday to attend the funeral.

Death: 17 March 1918, near Merriman, Cherry CO, Nebraska, buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Chadron, Dawes CO, Nebraska.

In his early boyhood his parents moved to WA CO, Neb, where as a young man he became a Christian and united with the Church of Christ at Blair. He was one of the charter members of the Church of Christ at Chadron when it was organized in 1894. He was an officer in this church from the time of its organization until the day of his death. He was married to Stella Christensen, October 29, 1885. to this union were born three daughters, the youngest having preceded her father to the better world fourteen years ago.
In the pioneer period Mr. Allberry lived on a homestead near Chadron. later the family moved to Chadron where they resided for many years. In 1917 they moved to the ranch near Merriman where they have since lived.
For many years before his death Mr. Allberry was a trusted and efficient employee of the Northwestern Railway in the bridge and building department.
Besides the widow and the two daughters, Mrs.R.F.Graham of Mt.St.Helens, Oregon and Miss Carrie a teacher in the high school at Whitewood, South Dakota, the deceased leaves a father, Mr Richard Allberry of Blair, Nebraska, two brothers, Denna Allberry of Denver, Colorado and Frank Allberry of Blair and Mrs. C.P.Rodman of Omaha.
He was a man of deep religious convictions. A citizen of the highest type and a neighbor who was esteemed by all who knew him.
Funeral services were held in the Church of Christ at Chadron by Prof. Wilson, Wednesday afternoon, March 20th. Burial was made in Greenwood Cemetery.

Just a week before 2013 Federal Gov't shutdown, ten inches of snow fell on the ground and I was there when the temperature rose to the mid '70's in Chadron, Nebraska.
