George W. Aernaut, 96, of Moscow, died Wednesday, February 12, 2003, at his home.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., before services on Saturday, February 15, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity in his memory.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. The Rev. Ted Landers will officiate. Pallbearers are Arlo Kleppe, Brett Maxwell, Billy Clevinger, Tim Maxwell, James Clevinger and Chris Kleppe. Burial will be at the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
George W. Aernaut was born July 30, 1906, in Cedar County, the son of Leopold and Clementine (VanCampa) Aernaut. He never married and farmed in the Cedar and Muscatine county areas.
Survivors include a nephew and niece, David and Boo Mattan of Erie, IL; and friend and caregiver, Carla Clevenger of Moscow.
He was preceded by in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary Stormer and Alice Verschor, and three brothers, Bill Aernaut, Fred Aernaut and Ned Aernaut.
