Beloved mother and grandmother, Lois Nadine Abter Likes Byrd, age 65, passed away December 28, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born February 9, 1932 in Blackfoot, Idaho, daughter of Erven Julius and EllenVictoria Jones Abter. Married Raymond C. Likes; he preceded her in death in 1960. Married Brady B. Byrd; he preceded her in death in 1989. Active member of the LDS Church holding many callings. She was a master gardner and took great pride in the things she grew. Lois had a great love for those less fortunate who had touched her life in so many ways.

Survived by children, Patricia (Ronald) Rowley, Kearns; Ramona Kaye Likes, Salt Lake City; Linda M. Byrd, Tooele; Steven Byrd, Tooele; Mark Byrd, Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren; sister, Ladore Jones, Gooding, Idaho.

Preceded in death by son, Kevin R. Likes in 1995. The family would like to express a special thanks to those who cared for Lois at the University of Utah and Salt Lake Regional Hospitals. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon at the 1st Ward in the Park Stake, 760 East 700 South. Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road and Sat., at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
