Mrs. Myrtice Ann Hester Williams - BLOOMINGDALE - Mrs. Myrtice Ann Hester Williams, 62, died on March 18, 2008 at Memorial Health.
Ann was a native of Chatham County and a long time resident of Bloomingdale. She played an active role in the community which involved being the editor of the Westside Weekly, certified lifeguard, member of the Bloomingdale Historical Society, active in the B.R.A.C., and the Bloomingdale Elementary P.T.A. After a long career with the Board of Education, she retired to pursue other interests. Ann was well loved and well thought of by family and friends. She had a quick smile and never met a stranger.
Some of her fun adventures included: completing two GASBE's, traveling far and wide to research geneology with her best friend, Ms. Griffin, quilting, whitewater rafting, and gardening. She was an amazing mother, a wonderful friend, and an incredible person that will be missed by all.
Survivors: her husband, Sidney Loyd Williams, Sr.; children, Sidney Loyd Williams, Jr., Sonya L. Williams-Pratt, Lea Williams, and Summer Patterson; 4 grandchildren, Seth, Olivia, Sydney, and Annslee; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial Service: 7 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008 in the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons West Chatham Chapel.
