Laura Lillian "Billie" Chesley passed away on December 29, 2012 at Westbrook Care Center in Waurika, Oklahoma after a long illness.

She was born on July 17, 1941 to Millard and Maybelle Sumpter Sloan.

Billie led a good and fruitful life serving her family for 51 years. She was mostly a homemaker but did work for several years as a supervisor at a vocational school after the children left the nest. She and Gene were married February 16, 1962 in Globe, Arizona. They moved to Waurika, Oklahoma in 1992.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister - Darlene Boon.

She is survived by her husband Gene of Waurika, Oklahoma children - Darla Carpenter of Duncan, Oklahoma Lyle Chesley of Homer, Alaska, Bryan Chesley of Waurika, and Larry Chesley of Homer, Alaska, sister - Kay Winkler of Wichita Falls, Texas, brother - Ed Sloan of Waurika, 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, January 4, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Emery Cemetery.
