An employee of Peyton's Northern in Bluffton, Donald Corey Lewis, 28, died unexpectedly Monday at his Portland home following a sudden illness.

A graduate of Jay County High School, he attended Ball State University for two years and Indiana University East in Richmond for one year. He was a member of the Portland Moose Lodge and the Sons of the American Legion in Bluffton.

Born Oct. 7, 1971 in Portland, he was the son of Bonnie K. Ludy Lewis and David W. Lewis of Portland.

Other survivors include a sister, Holly Lewis of Portland, two step-brothers, Michael Lewis of Muncie and Mitch Lewis of Des Moines, Ia.; two stepsisters, Cheryl Lewis and Linda Lewis, both of Muncie, and his grandmother, Mildred Ludy of Portland.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson & Spencer Funeral Home with Rev. Phill Jellison officiating and burial to be in the IOOF Twin Hills Cemetery at Pennville.

Calling will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m., with the Portland Moose Lodge to conduct a memorial service at 8 p.m.
