Mrs. Painter, 83, Dies At Her Home Near Middletown
MIDDLETOWN - Mrs. Dora Bowers Painter, 83, wife of George E. Painter, died Friday afternoon at her home on Middletown R.R. 2 following an extended illness. (Her birth year was approximated.)
Besides the husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ross Bradford of Middletown and a step-sister, Mrs. Lennie Umbarger of South Bend. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Martha Bowers of the Tabor Community.
Friends may call at the Ballard and Shirey Funeral Home in Middletown after 2 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William Shirey of Daleville and the Rev. E. F. Smith of Indianapolis officiating. Burial will be held in the Miller Cemetery.
