A native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville, until she moved to Screven, Georgia to be near her granddaughter; seven years ago. She was a homemaker and a retired waitress and was a member of Friendship Advent Christian Church in Jacksonville for many years. She is survived by 4 grandchildren : Yvonne DeWitt, Charles W. Skipper, Jr., Denise Williams and Shirley Mammen, 4 great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday (TODAY) at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4747 Main St., Jacksonville, FL. 32206. A graveside funeral service will be held 2 PM Thursday in Evergreen Cemetery (enter thru gate #1) with Rev.
