Graveside service for Clayton Frank Alexander, Sr., 93 will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery in Apache with Rev. Phil Jones officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
Mr. Alexander passed away on January 3, 2013 in Lawton.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home of Apache.
Mr. Alexander was born August 28, 1919, at home in Apache, Oklahoma to Ed and Mary
Alexander. He graduated from Broxton High School in 1937 and served in the US
Army during WWII. He married Imogene Brown on November 27, 1943 in Waurika. They had one son, Clayton Frank Alexander, Jr. and lived on the Alexander family farm near Broxton for over twenty years before moving to Anadarko in 1969. In 1997 Clayton and Imogene Alexander moved to the Village on Lee Retirement Center in Lawton.
Survivors include his son Clayton Frank Alexander, Jr. and his wife Linda, of Lawton; two grandchildren, Karen Dawn Gilbert, Oklahoma City, and Kevin Wade Alexander and his wife Tamma, Conroe, Texas; five great grandchildren; Ashley and husband Andy Johnson, Sulphur, Louisiana; Shelby and Tyler Gilbert, Oklahoma City; Kaitlin and Kelsie Alexander, Conroe, Texas; one great-great grandson, Kaiden Johnson,
Sulphur, Louisiana; five nephews and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife Imogene Alexander; two brothers, Charley Alexander and Calvin Alexander; two sisters, Mabel Cost and Juanita Alexander.
