Lt. Gen. Ranald T. Adams, Jr., USAF (Ret.) of Alexandria, Virginia, died on Sunday, December 30, 2012, at Inova Loudoun Hospital of complications from lymphoma. He was 87 years old. Gen Adams was married for 58 years to the late Jeannette C. Adams of Macon, Georgia . He is survived by his son, Ranald T. Adams III, of Hyde Park, NY, his two daughters, Jeannette M. Adams of Bothell, Washington and Mary Adams Lafsky, of Great Falls, Virginia, his three grandchildren, Samuel C. Lafsky, Ranald T. Adams IV and Elizabeth J. Adams, and his companion, Doris Goffus of Locust Grove, Virginia. Funeral services at Arlington National Cemetery will take place at a future date.

Adams, Jr., USAF (Ret.), who died on December 30, 2012, will be held on Wednesday, April 10 at 9 a.m. at the Ft Myer Memorial Chapel, with Inurnment in the Columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery immediately following the service. Gen. Adams is survived by his children, Ranald T. Adams III, Mary Adams Lafsky and Jeannette M. Adams; his grandchildren, Samuel C. Lafsky, Ranald T. Adams IV and Elizabeth J. Adams, and his companion, Doris Goffus. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Jeannette C. Adams.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Fisher House Foundation.
