A native of Nanticoke, Mrs. Bond was a daughter of the late John and Gwen Thomas Powell. She was graduated from Nanticoke High School and resided in this city (Wilkes-Barre)the past 40 years. Mrs. Bond attended the Douglass Presbyterian Church, Lee Park.
Surviving are her husband, Harry, retired employee o the Glen Alden Coal Company; seven children, Harold, Mrs. Russell Madden, Mrs. Emily Richards, Robert and James all of Wilkes-Barre. Harry, Jr. Allentown, Richard, Bayonne, NJ; a Sister, Mrs. Elivira Clifford, New York City; Brother, Gwylliam Powell, Detroit, Mich; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, Monday, morning at 11. Rev. Robert T. Walters will officiate and interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call saturday night, 7-9 and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
