Donald "Daisy" Gilliam, 73, of Wise, passed away Monday (Dec. 6, 2004) at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital in Norton.
He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burley and Inez Greene Gilliam; two brothers, Arthur Gilliam and Bud Wesley Gilliam; four sisters, Opal Collier, Vernie Bowman, Clella Meade and Virginia Bolling.
Surviving are one sister, Evelyn Addington of Wise; one brother, Wallace Gilliam of Bluefield; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, with Jim Smith officiating.
Burial and graveside committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Jessee Cemetery in Wise.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Sturgill Funeral Homes in Wise. is in charge of arrangements.
