Mr. Owen Rucker, son of the late Mr. Isaiah D. Rucker and Mrs. Viola Sullivan Rucker, was born October 24, 1898, in Green County and departed this life at 5:30 p.m., Monday, January 14, 1974, at the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. He was 75 years of age.

He had made a profession of failth in Christ and was a member of the Greensburg Methodist Church at the time of his death.

He united in marriage to Miss Alyce Hatcher, February 10, 1924, who survives. To this union were born two daughters: Mrs. Julia Judd, Greensburg, and Mrs. Maxine Moran, Louisville.

Mr. Rucker is also survived by two sisters: Mrs. Ada Blevins and Mrs. Bertha Blevins, both of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Mrs. Alice Faye French, Elizabethtown, Patricia Owen Judd, Bowling Green, Joe Wayne Moran and Toni Moran, both of Louisville; and one great-grandson: Timmy French, Elizabethtown.

The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home where funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. (CDT) Wednesday, January 16, with burial in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Rev. Gene Weddle officiated, assisted by Jackie and Jimmy Bagby.

Active pallbearers: Houston Hartfield, Luther Huff, Freeman Faulkner, Jesse Rucker, Fred Gardner, and Joe Rucker.

Honorary pallbearers: Paul Murrell, W. T. Moore, Frank Sartin {?, name partially obscured}, Jerry Collings, Jim Durham, Dan Hartfield, and Jimmy Wright.
