Anthon Herald, 5 August 1925: Mr. and Mrs. William H. Hinkhouse of Correctionville who moved to Sioux City three weeks ago, had an awful misfortune Monday afternoon when their baby was killed and the mother was run down by an auto in the city. Mrs. Hinkhouse with her baby, Delores May, nine months old, in her arms, stepped from the curb to cross the street when an auto driven by Mrs. H.H. Worrell, Sioux City, ran her down at the corner of Fourth and Pierce streets. The baby died from a fractured skull while the mother suffered severe head bruises. Mr. Hinkhouse is employed as an auto mechanic by the Franklin H. Clark Co. in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Hinkhouse were married two years ago and Delores May was the only child.
