ELEANOR VIRGINIA BROOKS was born June 18, 1916. She was the fourth child and third daughter of Ova Mae Hill and James William Brooks. She was six and one-half years younger than Dorothea. She is very good with music. She has a nice organ and piano and enjoys playing both. She married Roy Pringle November 18, 1938. They had one son Kirk. Eleanor's husband Roy worked at Boeing Aircraft Factory as an electrician at the time of his death in 1963. A few years later Eleanor married John Suer. They divorced after twelve years. It is very difficult for one teepee to have two chiefs. At one time, Eleanor worked for Boeing and has lived in Wichita most of her adult life. She is a charter member of East Heights Methodist church. She was a church secretary for a short time. For a number of years she worked for people, like sitting with a sick person. She cooked the evening meal for a family for a number of years and then worked for their son until they all died. Much of her time has been spent helping friends and relatives when they needed a place to set or a meal to eat. At this time (July 1996), she is still living in her home in Wichita, Kansas. She has very poor health. Evelyn is not sure how long Eleanor can live alone. Eleanor has two grandchildren.
