Services Monday In Story City for A. Mervin Boyd

A Mervin Boyd, former Story City resident, died March 17 at 8:45 p.m. in Albert Lea, Minnesota.

Boyd was born April 27, 1902 in Story County the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erick G. Boyd. He attended Story City schools and on October 21, 1937 was married to Sadie Jacobson of Story City. He lived in Story City, where he operated a garage and repair shop until 1955 when he moved to Garrison, Minn. In 1956 he moved to Albert Lean, Min. where he was employed at the Knutson Chevrolet and Feliger garage until his retirement in 1962,

Survivors include his wife, Sadie; and a niece, Mrs. Les (Dorothy) Hendrickson who was raised in the Boyd home. Other nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Services were held today March 20, at 2 p.m. in Story City Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Masted officiating. Interment was in the Story City Memorial Cemetery with Soderstrum-Larson Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
