OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Dorothy Elizabeth Felabom, 86, formerly of 537 Bryan Avenue, Wabash, Indiana, died Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 4:30 am at Millers Merry Manor East in Wabash. She was born on October 16, 1918 in Miami County, Indiana to Charlie and Beatrice (Hartleroad) Prickett. She married Ernest Felabom in Rochester, Indiana on February 10, 1956; he died May 11, 1977.

She retired from Wabash County Hospital in 1983 after 35 years. She was a member of the Somerset Church of Christ, and was a decendant of the Miami Indian Tribe. She loved to mushroom hunt and loved the great outdoors.

She is survived by a daughter, Vivian (Richard) Good of North Manchester; three sons, Aden (Helen) Adkins of Somerset, John Ames (Kim) Adkins of Wabash, and Charles Eldon (Aida) Adkins of El Paso, Texas; brother, Gail "Bud" (Ann) Prickett of Whiting, New Jersey; sister, Evelyn Tate of Wabash; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ross Prickett, and one great grandson - Matthew Adkins.

Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 10:00am. Jeff Hierholzer will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8pm Friday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the Wabash County Hospital Foundation.
