Dorothy L. Bedard Bramblett, 89, of Evansdale, Iowa, died at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, December 30, 2012 of natural causes.

She was born September 7, 1923 in Oelwein, Iowa, daughter of Kelsey and Jennie Annett Thomas. She married Cleo Bedard March 9, 1943 in Cedar Rapids. He died January 4, 1967. She married Billy Bramblett in March 1968 in Galena, Illinois. He died September 5, 1983.

She worked as a clerk at the Gene Harris Antique Auction House in Marshalltown for 7 years, retiring in 1982.

Dorothy was currently a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church and was a former member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Evansdale until its closing. She was a member of the Rosary Society. She and Mr. Bedard were members of the Moose Lodge.

She is survived by a special friend Rab Sampicia of Evansdale; daughter Barb (Don) Leohr of Evansdale; daughter Linda (Roy) Przybylo of Matteson, Illinois; daughter Nancy (Don) Heath of Cedar Falls; son Tim (Becky) Bedard of Waterloo; daughter Deb (Lou) Hovey of Waterloo; 9 grandchildren: Dawn (Don) McCraney, Jeff Leohr, Kelly (Dana) Leohr, Kurt (Timmy) Przybylo, Nick (Kim) Kolsrud, Josh (Amanda) Bedard, Jacob Bedard, Wendy (Steve) Smith, and Nate (Heather) Hovey; and 25 great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; the father who raised her ‑ Frank Ross; grandsons: Scott Leohr, Roy Przybylo and Jason Kolsrud; and sister Betty Lorraine.
