Funeral Services for Mrs. Ilene Henry Rodgers, 88 year old Lubbock resident, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday January 3, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Trenton. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 until 8 P.M. Wednesday January 2, 2013 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.

Mrs. Rodgers was born September 14, 1924 near Leonard, Texas. Her parents were Alexander Hamilton and Delia Price Taylor Henry. She was a graduate of Leonard High School, a homemaker and a member of the St. Matthew's Methodist Church in Lubbock. She worked for many years as a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and she was very active in her church. She married Joe Martin Rodgers February 8, 1947 in Leonard. She passed away at her residence in Lubbock Sunday December 30, 2012.

She is survived by her husband: Joe Rodgers of Lubbock; her daughter and son-in-law: Donna and Andy Anderson of Lubbock; her grandchildren: Christopher Anderson, Delia Joy and Salem O'Steen and K-Dee Anderson, all of Lubbock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Olan Henry, Lucille Todd, Morene Sudderth and Ima Henry.
