Phyllis Ann Clock Stewart went home to be with our Heavenly Father at aged 84 years, 4 months, 12 days. She was born in Muncie, Indiana, to Arley Bert and Grace Bell Johnson Clock.
Phyllis graduated from Central High School in 1946. She was first married to Chester C. Bookout, Jr., in 1945, and were the parents of three children. She was married in 1963 to Jack Stewart and enjoyed 42 years of married life when Jack passed away in 2005. Phyllis was employed at Merchants Bank main office for 20 years, retiring in 1995. She loved working at the bank. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and all her siblings: sister, Donna Bond, and brothers, Paul, Gilbert, Eugene, Talmadge, Carl, and Richard.
Phyllis is survived by her children; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a sister-in-law; a grand-daughter-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum.
