FAYETTE TOWNSHIP, Wis. -- Francis Peter Goebel, 92, of Fayette Township entered Heaven Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005. He was born Feb. 22, 1912, in Fayette Township to Peter and Margaret (Darrah) Goebel. He married Grace Broderick Sept. 20, 1938, in Dubuque, Iowa; they were married 66 years. He operated and owned Goebel Tree Service in Rockford, Ill., from 1948 to 1963. Survivors include wife, Grace; children, Amy (Stephen Sitrick) Goebel of Rockford, Dodie Corcoran of Woodstock, Ill., Jackie Goebel of Rockford, Peter B. (Becky) Goebel of Durand, Ill., and Andrew F. (Shirley) Goebel and Edward (Mary Jo) Goebel, both of Fayette Township; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, William 'Willy' (Mary) Goebel of Rockford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by parents; son, Thomas 'Tag' Goebel; infant daughter and infant son; brothers, Lawrence and Mickey Goebel; and sisters, Ann Rielly and Margaret Kudlacik. Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Blanchardville, Wis., with Father Sanctus Ibe officiating. Burial in St. Michael Yellowstone Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, in Steil Camancho Funeral Home, 206 E. Harriet St., Darlington, Wis., with scripture service at 4 p.m. Friends may also call after 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church.
