Civil War Veteran Dies At Age of 89.
Mrs. John Andrews Succumbs Following Operation
Friends of the John Andrews family of Florence township, were grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. Andrews at St. Mary's hospital at Pierre. She passed away Tuesday evening.
Mrs. Andrews went to Pierre about a week ago, and underwent an operation for appendicitis. Later it was found necessary to perform two other operations. Peritonitis set in, and although she was given the best care, it was impossible to save her life.
Funeral services will probably be held Saturday, pending word from relatives.
