Funeral Services for Tyson D. Bordelon, 86, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 2, 2012 at St. Paschal Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Coens officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Bordelon was born October 3, 1926 in Marksville, LA and died on December 30, 2012 in Monroe, LA. He served for 4 years in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Bordelon was a barber for 40 years and served as the 1st City Councilman for District 3, serving for 12 years. He was a member of the St. Paschal Catholic Church in West Monroe, LA. and was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Claudia N. Bordelon; three sons, Tommy Bordelon and wife, Mary Ann, Terry Bordelon and wife, Jennifer, and Sonny Bordelon and wife, Mari; 8 grandchildren, Emily Wilson and husband, Kurt, Sarah Rantz, Molly Bordelon, Cody Bordelon, Clint Bordelon and wife, Christina, Meredith Ellis and husband, Paul, Daniel Bordelon and Mari Katherine New and husband, Blake; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Bordelon and wife, Elaine of Lacombe, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dan Hastings, David Raymond, Paul Ellis, Clint Bordelon, Cody Bordelon, and Donny Johns.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with a Vigil Wake Service at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday January 1, 2013.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, to St. Paschal Catholic Church or to Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home.
