The Muncie Morning Star, Feb. 17, 1942

Mrs. Mary Irene McDonald, 33, wife of W. Earl McDonald, died at 7:45 o'clock last night at the family home, 650 North Mulberry street, after an extended illness. She had lived in Muncie for nineteen years, coming here from Terre Haute.

Surviving are the husband; two sons, Billie and Tommy Lee McDonald, both at home; the mother, Mrs. Ida M. Dunn, of Muncie; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Frizzell and Miss Kathryn Dunn, both of this city; and three brothers, William Dunn or Placerville, Cal., George M. Dunn of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Harry Dunn of Miami, Fla.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Piepho funeral home at 10 o'clock Thursday morning. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. The body was removed to the funeral home, where friends may call after noon Wednesday.
