Fimke Haisma was born at the country village Lippenhuizen, municipality Opsterland, in the mid southeastern part of the Dutch northern province Friesland. Her parents are Jan Gosses Haisma, 28 years, laborer, and Hinke Durks de Jong.

On 15 May 1868 servant maid Femke Haisma, residing at Ureterp, married at Beetsterzwaag, the seat of Opsterland, at the age of 22 years to the two years older laborer Harmen Bouma, born in mun. Opsterland too, but at the village Ureterp.

In January 1879 Fimke became widower of Harmen Bouma, who died at his birthplace Ureterp at the age of 35 years of pneumonia, leaving his wife and six children ranging from 3 to 11 years old.

On 27 March 1880 Femke Haisma, residing at Ureterp, remarried at Beetsterzwaag, the seat of Opsterland, at the age of 34 years to the eight years older Kornelis Bouma, and born in municipality Opsterland too, but at the village Ureterp, brother of her first husband Harmen Bouma and since May 1871 widower of Hiltje Terpstra, who died at the age of 29 years.

In June 1903 Femke Haisma is a cattle keeper, probably of dairy cow, residing at Ureterp.

Fimke died in December 1913 at Ureterp at the age of 67 years, married to Kornelis Bouma.
