Mrs. Ruth A. PLETCHER, 84, of Scottdale, R.D. 2, died today in Frick Community Health Center, Mount Pleasant. She was born Dec. 3, 1902 in Connellsville, R.D. 2, daughter of the late Louis and Mary Shultz Ansell. She was a member of Owensdale United Methodist Church, it's Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and was a church treasurer for 35 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Nelle) Ridenour and Mrs. Donald (Esther) Ridenour, both of Scottdale, R.D. 1, and Mrs. Robert (Lena Mae) Hoover of Belle Center, Ohio; a son, James e. Pletcher of Somerset, R.D. 4; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Gladys) Harshman of Dickerson Run, and three brothers, Ellis and Paul Ansell, both of Uniontown, and Howard Ansell of Baltimore, Md.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Clarence B. Pletcher in 1983; a son, Wayne M. Pletcher in 1929; a grandson; a brother, John Ansell, and two sisters, Florence Ansell and Mrs. Ora Jagers.
