Mr. Alex Gajewski (Al Gay), 98, of Murray, KY died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital. Mr. Gajewski was a retired printer and bookbinder in Chicago, IL; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church; he was also a Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Gajewski was born in Chicago, IL on Dec. 21, 1911 to the late Alex Gajewski and Eleanor Oczymska Gajewski. Also preceding him in death was his wife Sallie Szychulda Gajewski.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at The St. Leo Catholic Church in Murray with Father Jason McClure officiating. Burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at The St. Leo Catholic Church. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, following visitation.
