Pete C. Córdova, a resident of Old Town, passed away on August 9, 2005, at the home of his daughter, Edna Romero, at the age of 87 years.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife, Eufersin Córdova, a son, Robert Córdova, his father, Eulauterio Córdova, his mother, Raquel Córdova and two sisters, Rosa Sedillo and Delfinia Durán.
Mr. Córdova is survived by two sons, Edwin Córdova and his wife, Anita and Art Córdova and his wife, Dunae, three daughters, Edna Romero and her husband, José, Sylvia Baca, and Jacqueline Mora. Mr. Córdova has 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. Córdova is also survived by one brother, Bennie Córdova and one sister, Felicita (Sally) Martínez.
Mr. Córdova retired from Duke City Lumber Co. after 33 years of service.
Pete was born on October 27, 1917 in Kelly, NM. Pete was married on October 23, 1938 and shared 62 beautiful years with his wife, Eufersin Córdova.
We, the family, will continue to believe that he passed away of a broken heart missing her every day she was gone. May God bless them both and may they rest in peace together, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Cordóva.
A Visitation for him will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2005 in Palm Chapel at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at Gate of Heaven Chapel, 7999 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
