~Hattie Emma Barlow Clippard~
Hattie Emma Clippard, 97, of McMillan Place, Lenoir, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at the residence.
She was born Feb. 26, 1907, in Caldwell County to the late Rufus T. Barlow and Julia Coffey Barlow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Ralph P. Clippard; one sister, Nellie Barlow Fox; and one brother, Jack Barlow.
Mrs. Clippard was a homemaker and seamstress and was a charter member of Kings Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Raymond Clippard and wife Jeanette of Lenoir, and Maynard Eugene Clippard and wife Carolyn of Hudson; a daughter, Coleen Elizabeth Clippard of the home; two grandchildren, Richie Clippard of Hudson, and Amy Paschall and husband David of Monroe; and three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Lucas and Morgan.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Pendry's Chapel with Rev. Randy Goode and Rev. Gary Waters officiating. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Pendry's.
Pallbearers will be Wilson Moore, Danny Moore, David Paschal, Richie Clippard, Fred Clawson and Joe Icenhour.
