Alan Blair Anderberg, 47, of North East, MD, formerly of Newark, DE, passed away suddenly December 24, 2012 at his home.

Born in Sioux Falls, SD, Alan was the son of Gary Wayne Anderberg and Cheryl Christensen Cain.

He graduated from high school in Long Beach, CA. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was the owner of Carpet Rescue. He loved to compete in all kinds of sports and race his 1987 Mustang.

He is survived by his parents, Cheryl and Alan Cain of Elkton; a son, Tyler Anderberg and a daughter Haley Blair Anderberg, both of Elkton; his companion for many years, Melinda Biddle of Elkton; and his grandmothers, Mariam Larsen and Betty Anderberg, both of Sioux Falls, SD. He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers.

A service honoring his life will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, South College Ave., Newark, DE on Thursday January 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at the church Wednesday from 6-8 pm or 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church c/o R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.
