Morris Don Castleberry

Morris Don Castleberry, age 73, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his home.
He was born November 6, 1939 to Don and Mary Rowe Castleberry.
He grew up in Provo, UT and attended Provo City schools graduating from Provo High School in 1958. He went on to attend the Utah Trade Technical Institute to become a pipefitter/welder.
Morris married Sandra Joyce Myers on June 24, 1967 in Ogden, UT. They spent the next 10 years living in Iowa, Illinois and Michigan while he worked on various nuclear power plants and other industrial construction projects. In 1977 they returned to Utah to be closer to their families. After more than 40 years working with the Pipetrades Union Local 140, Morris retired in 2002.
He had a love of automobiles and during his lifetime owned many classic models always wishing he had room to keep them all. He was meticulous about maintaining his beautiful lawn and enjoyed the many hours that he spent riding his John Deere while keeping it mowed. Among the things he enjoyed most was meeting with his numerous good friends over coffee each and every day. Morris was a longtime member of the Elks Provo Lodge # 849.
He is survived by Sandra, his wife of 45 years, two children from a previous marriage: Scott M. Steffens and Michelle Chapman; a nephew, Neal Castleberry; four nieces: Sheila Simpson, Mindy (Jereme) Gardner, Angela (Jacob) Santini, and Corrine (Alex) Lindell; and numerous grand nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father Don Castleberry, his mother Mary Castleberry and his brother Glen C. Castleberry.
A remembrance of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Berg Mortuary of Provo, 185 East Center Street.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:45 prior to services.
Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah.
