Nevils, Ga. — Ms. Sara Martha Davis Sharpe, age 93, passed away Thursday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. She was a native and longtime resident of Bulloch County and was a member of the Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Ms. Sharpe worked as a school bus driver for many years and enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, and working on the farm with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Sharpe, her brother, A.L. Davis, her sister, Maggie Jean Iler, her grandson, Hal Sharpe, and her daughter-in-law, Pat Sharpe.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Davis (Toni) Sharpe, and Allen Larry (Dianne) Sharpe, all of Nevils; grandchildren, Mark Sharpe, Lori Sharpe Waters, Jay Sharpe, Susan Sharpe Herring, and Larry Hodges; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eloise Burnham of Nevils, and Mittie Sue Davis (Robbie) Wilson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Elder Randy Waters officiating. Interment will be in DeLoach's Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Hodges-Moore Funeral Home of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.
