Grace was born in 1882 in Elkhart County, Indiana. In 1885, the family moved near her mother's family in Porter County, Indiana. Her mother died there two years later. Later the same year, her father moved to Kansas. Grace, five years old, remained in Porter County and was raised by her mother's brother-in-law and sister, Fletcher D. and Viola E. (Marine) White [Viola, FAG#100999207]:

"Mr. and Mrs. White have reared in their home a niece, Grace Hubbell, an amiable, talented young lady, who is a graduate of Valparaiso University in the scientific and normal departments. She has taught for three years in the Bundy school near this city and has recently been engaged to teach in the schools of Gary." —"Fletcher D. White" in History of Porter County, Indiana (1912) p. 569.

On July 1, 1916 in Lake County, Indiana, Rev. David Handley married Grace B. Hubbell and Edgar J. Hall. ( image of original marriage record. familysearch.org)

The 1920 through 1940 census records list Edgar and Grace Hall living in Gary, Lake County, Indiana where he worked in the steel mills.

Edgar died in 1947 and was interred in the Hall family plot in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Porter County, Indiana.

When Grace died on Sep. 8, 1961 in La Porte Co., Indiana, she was laid to rest next to her first husband in Graceland Cemetery.
