Funeral services for Hazel M. Strain, 88 of Seagoville, Texas will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel in Seagoville with Rev. Benny Kraft officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Combine under the direction of Roselawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.

Hazel M. Strain was born June 15, 1924 in Combine, Texas a daughter of the late Beler and Elizabeth Wheat Martin and passed away on December 27, 2012 in Kemp. She was a member of the Pointview Baptist Church in Combine for many years and was born and raised and lived her entire life in Combine. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and was also active in the Senior Citizens Band where she played the tambourine. A very loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Strain in 1961, a son and daughter as well as 1 brother and 1 sister.

Survivors include her son, Bennie Strain and his wife Billie Joan of Kaufman, grandchildren Kellie Fennell and her husband Randy of Crandall and Paula Waugh of Kaufman; great grandchildren Mayci Fennell of Crandall and Michael Waugh of Mesquite as well as other friends and relatives.
