Betty Jo Atkins Fischer Good went to heaven on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2012. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Timothy Presbyterian Church, 3001 Forest Ridge Drive, Bedford, 76021. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Betty was born Jan. 1, 1935 in Shreveport, La. She was the oldest of four children. She was a graduate of Fair Park High School in Shreveport and LA Tech. She earned a Master + 30 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Betty was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years and a reading specialist. She loved all children. Betty had a very outgoing personality, never met a stranger and loved life. Betty and Loren were active members of St. Timothy Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Bedford for many years. Her family would like to give special thanks for the loving care she received at Universal Health Services Hospice of Fort Worth. Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Loren Good; her son, Scott Fischer; her daughter, Laura Fischer Saxon and husband, Jamie Saxon; grandsons, Eric Fischer and spouse, Tracy Protti, and Brian Fischer; great-granddaughter, Lilly Anne Fischer; and brother, Millard W. Atkins III.
