Funeral services for George Berg, 72, Apache Junction, Ariz., were held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1991, at St. George's Catholic Church. Mr. Berg died Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Mesa General Hospital.

He was born Feb. 20, 1919, at Clyde, North Dakota, the son of Math and Catherine Berg. One of 13 children, he received his education in Clyde. On Nov. 12, 1942, he married Alma Michels at Calio, N.D.; and they farmed in the Calio and Egeland area for 37 years. After retiring, he was employed as a maintenance man at Rest Haven Manor in Cando. They have been spending their winters in Apache Junction.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Gerald, Chandler, Ariz., Ronald, Missoula, Mont., and Bryan, Devils Lake; three grandchildren; his mother, who celebrated her 100th birthday in August; five sisters, Emma Ida, Lenore, Helen, and Mary Ann; and four brothers, Harold, Omar, Herman and Richard.

He was preceded in death by his father and three sisters, Margaret, Inez and Hilda.
