Her funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, December 29 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in High Shoals Memorial Gardens.
Polly was born May 14, 1920, in Lincoln County to the late Hugh and Eunice Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years James; brothers Clyde, Jack, Norman, and Paul; and sisters Carrie Lee Smith, Hazel Culbertson, Ozell Kanipe, and Lottie Green. She retired from Carolinian Mills and was a homemaker, devoted wife, and loving mother and grandmother. Polly loved to bake pies and cakes and sew doll clothes, quilts, and grocery bag keepers.
