Velma Jean Cosner, 100, of Greencastle passed away on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012.

She was born on Dec. 3, 1912 in Cloverdale to Harrison T. Broadstreet and Nora E. Hutson Broadstreet.

Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Jean Little of Greencastle and Peggy Faun Cosner of Greencastle; five grandchildren, Peggi Sue Little-Stuart and husband Bill of Fishers, John Cosner Little and wife Beth of Mt. Meridian, Anthony William Eitel and wife Mary of Georgia, Patrick Joshua Eitel of Indianapolis, and Heather Ann Warfield of Greencastle; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Cannon and fiancée Ashley of Fishers, Nathan Cannon of Bloomington, Sara Stuart of Fishers, Marianne Stuart of Fishers, and Matthew Eitel of Georgia; a sister-in-law, Louise Broadstreet of Mooresville; two special nephews, Wendell Dillinger of Sheridan and Mark Broadstreet of Mooresville; and one niece, Janet Boser of Noblesville.

Mrs. Cosner was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother and her husband of 64 years, William N. Cosner.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at Stilesville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from noon until 1 p.m. at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle.

Memorials in Mrs. Cosner's memory may be made to the Putnam County Humane Society.
